Cassandra Atkins of Federal Way High in Washington won both the long and triple jump competitions at the Spokane High School Invitational this weekend, jumping 38 feet, 9.5 inches (11.82m) in triple and 18-6 (5.64m) in long. Maleigha Canaday-Elliott from McDaniel High in Oregon, a future teammate at Oregon with Atkins, finished second in the triple jump with a mark of 38-4 (11.68m).
